 Over two decades of German medical technology history

1987: Founding of Medos Medizintechnik GmbH focussing on the production of tubing sets for organ assistance

1994: Move into Medos’ first own production facilities in Stolberg/Germany. Having started as a distributor of tubing sets, Medos has become a medium-sized medical high technology corporation with worldwide distribution.

1997: Market introduction of the 1st hili
te® oxygenator and VAD I for cardiac assistance.

1998: VAD II together with special cannulas first appears on the market. The cannula product range is expanded.

1999: Acquisition of MaJa Medizintechnik GmbH in Radeberg/Germany and opening of a 2nd cleanroom production site
The coating rheoparin
® is CE certified.

2000: The hilite® LT (Leckage Tight) oxygenator for prolonged applications and an innovative reservoir are introduced.

2001: The 1st generation of the DP1 diagonal pump and the DC console for the deltastream
® system are introduced. Oxygenators for children and infants round off the portfolio.
Founding of Medos France.

2002: Introduction of the deltastrea
DP2 pump head. The portfolio for children and infants is supplemented with special reservoirs.

2004: Introduction of the X-Flow cannula.

2005: Introduction of femoral cannulas

2008: Introduction of the VAD III console.

2009: For the first time, the deltastrea
m® DP3 blood pump is used in a hospital. It is the most modern pump for circulatory support with a minimal filling volume and very precise control.

2010: Move into modernised cleanroom facilities in Stolberg/Germany

2011: CE approval for deltastream
® MDC and deltastream® HC
Takeover of Medos by Zukunftsfonds Heilbronn (zfhn) and therefore integration in a cluster of life science companies.
